About PlantClue

A diagnosis and knowledge platform for home cannabis growers: figure out what's wrong with your plant and what to do next.

Who we are

What is PlantClue?

PlantClue helps home growers spot problems with their plants and fix them the right way. At its core is the plant diagnosis tool: it walks you through symptoms, the affected part of the plant and the growth stage, then points you to the most likely causes and what to do right away. On top of that, you'll find in-depth grow guides, eight grow calculators (including VPD, pH, EC and electricity cost), a strain guide, a cannabis glossary and gear comparisons.

PlantClue grew out of the German project meinePlantage.de and has been running under its new name since October 2026. All content and tools have moved, and old links redirect automatically.

The PlantMentor is the voice of PlantClue. He explains what matters in our guides and in the diagnosis tool, in plain language and without the jargon.

How we work

Where our knowledge comes from

Our content is based on horticultural sources such as the Bavarian State Institute for Viticulture and Horticulture (LWG) and the Julius Kühn Institute, plus manufacturer data, which we label as such. Target values like pH, EC, temperature and humidity are consistent across all guides and calculators. For our studies, we disclose our data sources and methods, and the charts are free to use under CC BY 4.0.

PlantClue is for adults who grow at home where it's legal. We don't give medical or legal advice.

How PlantClue is funded

The diagnosis tool, all calculators and all guides are free. PlantClue is funded through affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, and your price stays the same. Affiliate links are marked as ads and don't influence our ratings. Our comparisons feature no more than two products per brand.
