Terms and Conditions

1. Scope, provider, seller
(1) These terms apply to the digital products of PlantClue and PlantClue: the “Personal Grow Plan”, the web app “Grow Diary” (free) and the subscription “Grow Diary Pro”. The content and software are provided by Adrian-Arne Kolb (PlantClue), Schorndorfer Weg 38, 71732 Tamm, Germany, email: office@plantclue.de (“we”).
(2) Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders (Paddle.com Market Limited; for buyers in the US Paddle.com Inc.; in Canada Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd.). Paddle sells you the Grow Plan and the Pro subscription, processes payments and issues invoices. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply.
(3) Our products are intended for adults only.
2. What you get: Personal Grow Plan
(1) A digital document (PDF) with a calendar file (.ics) and a link/QR code for the grow app, calculated individually from your inputs (start date, plant type, growing medium, nutrients, tent, light, pot size). It contains dates, weekly target values and dosing amounts for your nutrients.
(2) After payment you enter your setup in a form. You receive the finished plan by email, usually within 24 hours and no later than 3 business days.
(3) Dosing amounts are based on the manufacturers’ published feeding charts or on the label you provide. The label on your product takes precedence. All dates and values are guidelines; actual results depend on strain, environment and care.
(4) The Grow Plan does not include seeds, plants or cannabis products and is not a recommendation to buy any strain.
2a. What you get: Grow Diary and Grow Diary Pro
(1) The Grow Diary is a web app at apps.plantclue.com/growlog. The free version lets you track one grow with unlimited plants (readings, care steps, events) without an account; your entries are stored only on your device.
(2) “Grow Diary Pro” adds, for the duration of your subscription: importing your Personal Grow Plan, multiple grows, sync across your devices, photos, charts and PDF export. The current feature set is described on our pricing page. Pro requires an account (sign-in via email link).
(3) We keep developing the app and may change or replace features if the agreed core of Pro is preserved and the change is reasonable for you. We inform you about material changes by email in good time; if a Pro feature that is essential to you is removed, you may cancel immediately and receive a pro-rata refund for the remaining term.
(4) We aim for high availability of server features (sync, photos, account). Short interruptions for maintenance or outages beyond our control may occur. Logging works offline.
(5) You are responsible for data stored only on your device (free version or Pro without sync). Clearing your browser storage deletes it unless you have a backup file; use “Download backup”.
(6) Features marked “beta” are provided free of charge without any warranted properties.
3. Price and payment
(1) The price shown at checkout applies, including applicable taxes. Payment, invoicing and tax are handled by Paddle. The Grow Plan is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Coupons apply under their own conditions (e.g. “NEUKUNDE”: once per customer, first plan only).
(2) Grow Diary Pro is a subscription: you pay the first year upfront (fixed term of 12 months). After that, the subscription continues for an indefinite period and is billed monthly in advance at the follow-on price. Both the first-year price and the follow-on price are shown at checkout. Payments are collected by Paddle at the start of each billing period.
(3) You can cancel effective at the end of the first year at the earliest, and after that at the end of any month. We remind you by email at least 14 days before the first year ends.
(4) Cancel via “Cancel contracts here” (apps.plantclue.com/kuendigen), via the link in your Paddle receipt (paddle.net) or by email to office@plantclue.de. After your subscription ends, entries stored on your device remain; cloud data stays available for download for 30 days and is then deleted.
(5) We announce price changes for running subscriptions by email at least 30 days before the next billing period; they apply only from that period, and you may cancel before then.
4. License
You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use and print the Grow Plan, and to use the Grow Diary for the duration of your use or subscription, for your own private cultivation. Sharing, publishing or reselling the plan or access, automated scraping and sharing a Pro account between several people are not permitted. Your entries and photos belong to you; we use them only to provide the features.
5. Lawful use
The Grow Plan and the Grow Diary are intended only for home cultivation by adults where it is legal. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where you live. The Grow Diary does not limit the number of plants; the permitted number depends on your local law.
6. Warranty and liability
Statutory rights for digital products apply, including updates required to keep the Grow Diary in conformity. If a plan is calculated incorrectly due to a technical error, we correct it free of charge. Target values, status lights and diagnosis hints are guidance and do not replace your own judgment. We are fully liable for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health; for slight negligence only for breach of essential obligations and limited to foreseeable, typical damage. We are not liable for harvest results or plant damage caused by environment, strain, care or deviations from the product label, nor for data loss that a regular backup would have prevented.

9. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.
