4-inch or 6-inch: which kit fits your tent?
2x2 and 3x3 ft tents

4x4 ft tents
A 4x4 tent with a 450 to 500 W light needs a 6" kit with about 400 CFM. AC Infinity and Spider Farmer both offer 6" kits with climate controllers.
Quick sizing rule
Your fan should exchange the tent's air at least once a minute. A 3x3x6 ft tent holds 54 cubic feet; with a carbon filter and ducting, plan for roughly double that, about 110 CFM or more.

Only 8 ft of ducting is included, which can be short if your tent is not right next to a window or exhaust point. VIVOSUN lists PWM speed control but does not confirm an EC motor.

How to choose the best grow tent ventilation kit to buy
CFM for your tent
The carbon filter and ducting slow the air down, so buy more CFM than the tent volume alone suggests. 4" kits around 200 CFM cover 2x2 and 3x3 tents, 6" kits around 400 CFM cover 4x4 tents.
Noise
All fans here are EC or PWM fans between 26.8 and 34 dB per the manufacturers. If the tent is in a bedroom, the 4" kits from Spider Farmer and Mars Hydro are the quietest on paper.
Controller with sensor

Enough ducting
